    Catalytic Synthesis of 4, 5, 8a-Triphenylhexahydropyrimido[4,5-d]-pyrimidine-2,7(1H,3H)-diones Derivatives by using Nano-SiO2-Supported Preyssler Heteropoly Acid

  • Abstract

    A highly efficient synthesis of 4,5,8a-triphenylhexa-hydropyrimido[4,5-d]pyrimidine-2,7(1H,3H)-diones derivatives from an aromatic aldehyde 1, urea 2 and an aromatic ketone under reflux conditions in green conditions (solvent-free), catalyzed by silica-supported Preyssler nanoparticles (SPNPs) is reported. The products were formed in excellent yields and the acidic catalyst was completely heterogeneous and can be recycled for many times.
