    A Novel Method for the Preparation of Colloidal Silver Nano Particles Using Some Indian Spices

  • Abstract

    Green and economically scalable room temperature protocol for the synthesis of silver nano particles using Indian spices like Piper Nigrum L, Illicium Verum and Elettaria Cardamomum Manton is reported in this paper. UV-Visible absorption was taken for the optical studies of reduced silver particles. Different spices here acts as both capping agents and reducing agents. From absorption spectra, their stability and degree of absorption is shown. Various optical parameters and surface, volume energy losses are determined with respect to the variation in incident photon energy. Structural and surface morphology of the silver nano particles are determined using the HR-TEM analysis. There is a behaviour of scattered spherical nano particle is observed in the study
