    IR and Raman Spectroscopic Characterization of Nanocrystalline Ba2RESbO6 (RE = La, Pr, Nd and Eu) Perovskites

  • Abstract

    Nanocrystals of Ba2RESbO6 (RE = La, Pr, Nd and Eu) were synthesized by a self-sustained combustion method employing citric acid. The phase purity and homogeneity of the obtained material were determined by powder x-ray diffractometry and were confirmed using IR and Raman spectroscopic analysis. It was found that Ba2EuSbO6 crystallized in the cubic symmetry with space group Fm3m, Ba2PrSbO6 and Ba2NdSbO6 crystallized in the rhombohedral symmetry with space group R3 and Ba2LaSbO6 showed both rhombohedral and monoclinic structure with space group P21/n. The variation of dielectric constant with the theoretical densities of Ba2RESbO6 was also studied
