4DescriptionAbstract We describe an efficient method for the synthesis of β-acetamido ketones through the condensation of an aryl(aromatic) aldehyde, an acetophenone, acetyl chloride, and acetonitrile in the presence of natural alumina, alumina sulfuric acid (ASA), nano- γ -alumina, nano alumina sulfuric acid (nano-ASA) at room temperature. High efficiency, easy availability and reusability are some advantages of nano alumina sulfuric acid (nano-ASA) catalyst.
